If you are a target shooter or a competition shooter, aim for more rounds so you have more at your disposal. The number of rounds you need will depend on personal preference and even an intended application. The more you need, the better off you probably will be.
Most full-sized 9mm pistols have a round count of anywhere between 15 rounds to as high up as 22.
